Dear Daughter,
I never gave you up. I gave you a chance at better life than what I could provide for you, as your mother.
I have always loved you, even before I knew you, I savored our time together in pregnancy. And ever since, it has been a personal joy for me to spend time with you.
I sometimes still feel deep sorrow of knowing that what was best for you, was for me not to be your mother.

After labor and delivery, departing from the hospital without you was one of the most emotional things I have ever done. I sorely missed my baby that I loved, yet, didn’t know how to care for.

Visiting with you, through your lifetime has been comforting, to see you with two parents that love and adore you. Two parents who showered you with patience, love, and support unconditionally.

Do you ever imagine who you would be if I had raised you?

I have never regretted having gotten pregnant with you or placing you in an open adoption. If anything, my life is better for it.
